The design and usability community is reaching out to the transportation industry for an evening of talks, posters, and networking.
Usability makes the difference.
As we all know, a daily commute can be a smooth journey or a hassle. A transportation system can be a public good or an environmental hazard. What's the difference? Usability. Join Minnesota’s Usability Professional Association (UPA MN) for a celebration of World Usability Day 2008. You'll hear stories of how good design and a passion for user experience can be key tools in solving today's transportation problems.
About this event.
Once a year the international user experience and usability community celebrates World Usability Day, an event sponsored by the Usability Professionals Association. When festivities begin, they will be held in countries around the world, beginning in New Zealand, traveling West with the sun to our Minnesota chapter, and continuing around the world until the sun sets on November 13. For a complete list of worldwide events, visit: http://www.worldusabilityday.org/en/events/2008/country.
This year’s World Usability Day event, Design and Go: Enriching transportation with human-centered design, focuses on the intersection of design, usability, and transportation. Our event will engage the design and usability community with the transportation industry and the interested general public in a discussion about the ways in which transportation enriches people’s lives.
