WHERE is the Future? Forecasting of Technology to Drive Business Decision Making
Simple question, many answers. While no one can truly predict the future (including you Mr. Nostradamus), there are ways one can determine likely future scenarios based on an in-depth understanding of trends and clear understanding of technology in a society.
This seminar will cover the fundamental definitions, understanding, and dynamics of technology from several perspectives, including science, engineering, and society. We will survey several advanced tools for “futuring” and the analysis and forecasting of technology and developing R&D strategies aligned with overall organizational goals.
- Understanding how trends, both technological and societal, affect technology evolution, adoption, and application.
- Gain perspective on the role and interaction of technology with the wider world
- Understand the significance and value of futures studies for businesses, investments, non-profit organizations, countries, and societies
