Testing the Experience Beyond Usability

You're invited to the March 11th Usability Professional Association Minnesota (UPA-MN) chapter meeting. It is being held at Digital@JWT near downtown Minneapolis.

Session Overview

Testing the Experience Beyond Usability:
An approach and synopsis of usability/experience testing the Marines' "Class of Tomorrow" recruiting CD.

How do you test an experience? When something isn't meant to be task-based, it's difficult to determine what makes it usable. Join Elena Murray, project manager and Jennifer Bohmbach, Experience Design Practice Director from digital@jwt to learn how they approached testing a CD that was built to enhance a brand and provide information to potential recruits for the Marines.

Directions & Map:

Please note that Jennifer Bohmbach has pointed out a usability issue regarding directions. Digital, a division of J. Walter Thompson, was formerly known as "Imaginet." Unfortunately, all of the signs in the building still refer to "Imaginet" instead of "Digital." It is a bit confusing, but she thought the members would appreciate the irony of the Situation.

AIGA / Dialogue Series Presents...

Another great night of discussion featuring Periscope’s MasterCraft project.
Chris Cortilet, Periscope’s Interactive Creative Director, will lead the dialogue with colleagues Klay Devries, Andy Gugle and Adam Knutson.
MasterCraft proved to be challenging in that it involved the design of customization tools and database functionality that needed to tie into enterprise wide network and multimedia applications.
The team will show and talk about the work as well as discuss the roles of the people involved and the coordination of talent that made this project a success.

As always, audience participation is encouraged to make this a night of engaging Dialogue.
