This talk presents the "20 Laws of Interface Design." The "20
Laws" are a group of principles of human-computer interaction that provide
practitioners with a consistent, complete, and flexible set of
heuristics for designing usable software and evaluating product
usability. They are distilled from industry-accepted principles used by
leaders such as Jakob Nielsen and Ben Schneiderman, as well as companies
such as Microsoft and Apple.
Dean will also present the "Interface Quality Test," a simple tool for conducting heuristic evaluations using the 20 Laws of Interface Design.
