We had a small but festive turnout for the 2nd annual MN Chapter of UPA Picnic. Those brave folks who dared to challenge the weather man and storms were pleasantly surprised to find a dry picnic area with a break in the clouds that drenched the park in sunlight!
Great food was brought to share, with special raves going to the homemade mandarin gorgonzola salad compliments of Deb McConnell and homemade cookies compliments of Royce Shin (still warm from the car) and the other folks who brought tasty treats.
The table banter was friendly and their was plenty of poking fun at our Usability leadership (Nielsen, Spool, Cooper and the likes). We also learned that Libby's thinks we are all geeks. Libby, please reconsider your pet names for us. ;)
We are also able to release the pending nuptials of our own MN Chapter love story. Richard Sit and Andrea Halverson met at a MN chapter meeting and are planning to wed this Fall. Congratulations!!
The National Conference will be taking place in July and we will be having a recap of the sessions, presentations, and hottest topics or rumors in August.
Please let me know if you are going to the National conference -- There are a couple of special outings planned for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for chapter members.
