Discussion

DeeDee DeMulling opened the meeting at 6:30 p.m. with introductions around the room. Accessibility was the topic of focus for the evening and many people shared their experience with the standards and a variety of assessment techniques. Nicole Tollefson, Alice de la Cova, and Royce Shin shared their experience with screen reading equipment and offered to demonstrate at a future UPA meeting. Business Meeting Places and Topics for 2002

Places

Food is not required for hosting a meeting. The northern location of this months meeting was popular with many of the meeting attendants. We will continue to host in a variety of locations.  Representatives from the following companies volunteered space:

Usability Products, short vendor presentations

Handheld technology (3M and Aquent both volunteered to host/present on this topic)

Dues for 2002 have increased to $20. You must also have membership in the National UPA. National dues for 2002 are $85 + $25 for 1st time member.

Participate as a volunteer at the CHI2002 conference being held in Minneapolis April 20-25. A volunteer sign up sheet was passed around at the meeting.

Liz Daube-Stanley will not be able to serve her post as Program Chair. David Prigge has agreed to serve for us this year. Thank you David!!
