Minimum
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience designing
usable, consumer-oriented interfaces
- Portfolio of work
- Ability to create interaction
models and user interface mock-ups ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts
to high-fidelity prototypes
- Ability to create iterative
prototypes rapidly
- Demonstrated ability to document
interaction designs
- Solid understanding of principles
of interaction design and user interface design
- Thorough understanding of
web technology and desktop software norms
- Willingness to experiment
with new interactions and designs
- Knowledge of fundamental design
principles and disciplines that affect typography, color use, animation,
composition, use of space, distribution of information, etc.
- Excellent writing and verbal
skills
- Ability to understand and
communicate complex system and design concepts quickly
- Ability to build consensus
and justify decisions
- Strong presentation skills
- Excellent time-management,
multi-tasking ability, and the ability to prioritize
- Solid understanding of CSS,
HTML, XML, Javascript and Ajax
- Experience with Ruby on Rails,
Flash, Silverlight, or similar technologies
- Knowledge of core web graphics
tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and Fireworks
Preferred Education,
Experience, and Capabilities:
- Degree in Human Computer Interaction,
Computer Science, Human Factors, Industrial Design or related field
or equivalent experience
- Experience designing or developing
Web 2.0 applications
- Experience conducting usability
tests
- Experience with agile development
